My name is Heather and this is a personal blog where I share about my adventures and tribulations. Previously I blogged via Blogspot about a love affair (and its subsequent demise) that took me across the globe to Mongolia. Life is too short to spend time with regret.
Now I’m on the other side of the Asian continent, working and living in beautiful Turkey. I wouldn’t be here, if I hadn’t gone there first. You see….that’s “connecting the dots in life.” I believe events and people happen for a reason. We are each a thread in the tapestry of this thing we call Life.
I am a woman, a sister, a daughter, a friend. I am a teacher and a librarian. I am a writer, a reader, and an ambivert. I am fascinated by history, and I love to be in the great outdoors. I grew up in the Northwoods of Michigan; I’ve lived in Pennsylvania, Idaho, and Colorado, and now live abroad as an expat. I’ve served in the military, worked in the corporate world, and now educate high school students and their teachers.
More than anything else–I am a lifelong learner! I love learning about people, about places, about myself. Today, this exact moment, is all any of us has and I want to intentionally be IN IT so that I can ENJOY life!
